I've raised £700 to Help to fund a new football team, Akhi FC, based in Birmingham. We are looking for funding to put towards training and making the team grow.

The funding will help support my team in various ways. It will go towards equipment such as football, training equipment, bibs, and cones. These things are all beneficial to help train the team. The funding will also go towards coaching as we will need to get someone to train the team to ensure that they are fit and healthy. Training the team is important as they will need to be very skilful and learn to work well as a team. The team would also benefit from a new football kit to wear during matches so that they can feel like an actual team. Money will also go towards training pitches or other practical locations for training that is easily accessible by all of the players.
By receiving funding this would also encourage and motivate the current players and will also attract more people towards the team. This will mean that there is an incentive to young people in the area to get off the streets and reduce gang violence by giving them something positive to look forward to and achieve. This can also involve and encourage more people into sports and fitness whether taken up professionally or just as a hobby. During a students time at school it is compulsory for them to attend PE lessons, with most students once they finish school they don't tend to keep fit, healthy or have regular exercise. However, if the team gets funding they will attract more people which will mean more students get back into fitness.
Attracting more people towards the team will mean that the players get to develop football skills as well as team working and communication skills which can be beneficial for young people in their future.
