Story
AkomaAsa Performing Arts Academy amalgamates Western and African diasporic performing arts. It leads the way in training, providing pathways, progressions routes that develops young talent for careers in dance and the performing arts industry in Britain.
Some things cannot be taught in a classroom. AkomaAsa's international intercultural arts exchange project to Senegal aims to give young people an opportunity to immerse in West African Senegalese culture. The project participants will share and exchange artistic practices with young people in Senegal, experience the country's environment and history, broaden their social and global understanding and perspective whilst meeting and making new friends.
