Weʼre raising £200 to help fund Fermanagh Stroke Support Group

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

My Dad, Wayne Hardman, had a stroke last year and in true Canadian Ice Hockey Grit has fought hard to make an excellent recovery. This was made alot easier with the help of my Mum, Louise Hardman and the excellent Fermanagh Stroke Support Group.

Myself and my eldest son Joe, are running the infamous Three Forts Challenge (26 miles cross country up and down along the South Downs, UK) to raise funds for this group that have helped my Dad. Your donations would be much appreciated and used to keep their excellent work going.

It was a very hot run, temperatures were definitely over 25C on the day at times 29C and quite a few people didn't enter or dropped out of the race! The first 10 miles Joe and I were chatting, saying how much we were enjoying etc and planning future races - at the 20 mile mark it was a different story. With a team of Gurkhas behind us (who were running a much shorter route, probably) I was empty and hit the infamous 'wall'. Joe pushed me on and we did complete it under the 6 hours. I'll forward the funds to the Fermanagh Stroke Support Group.
