We want to help support single mothers and women from low income families to earn their own money and become entrepreneurs.
Help us to raise £3600 for a 3 month pilot project which will provide a platform for up to 10 women who are seeking an opportunity to break out the cycle they are in, step out of their comfort zones and use their skills and abilities to create a better and positive future for themselves and their families.

Why support us?
We will be working with Amirah Foundation to support women through AWE - Alamaaree Womens Empowerment project .
Amirah Foundation is a Birmingham based charity established in April 2011.Their core aim is to facilitate vulnerable women to play a more active role in society and unlock their full potential and social capital. This is achieved through working to eradicate poverty, tackling homelessness and providing services that support women fleeing domestic violence.

Amirah Foundation supports women who are suffering or have suffered domestic violence. More support needs to be put into place to relieve this distress from such women. Women who suffer years of abuse have very low self-esteem and confidence levels. They have often been told and believe that they are worthless and not good at anything. They fear taking any steps to improve their lives as they fear failure. We want to create this opportunity.

Our Empowerment project will support these women to gain confidence, look at the skills and experience they have and create items which they can sell and start their own business. The Alamaaree boutique based on Ladypool Road, Sparkhill, will provide a low cost platform for designs to be showcased over a 3 month period.
Business mentor support and confidence building workshops will empower the women to pursue their goals and dreams.
Through supporting these women you will not only be helping a woman but inspiring her children also as they watch the changes unfold.
