I've raised £500 to Bangladeshi flood 2018

Assalamulaikum,
As many of you maybe aware on the 16/06/18 Eid day a devastating flood had occurred along the Manu River devastating many homes and lively hoods.
Our aim today is simple to raise a small amount of money to help the those afflicted by these testing times.
We have had just completed Ramadan and had the opportunity to purify our spirit and enjoy our Eid, unlike our Deshi counterparts, who had only completed there Ramadan under the stress of price hikes during this month only to find that before they could enjoy Eid they were consumed by floods.
We all have a golden opportunity to purify our wealth as a form of sadaqa and I can make a personal pledge that 100% of donations will be given to the needy, I have a friend who's mother lives near the afflicted areas a British citizen who is willing to distribute the wealth, my friend will be flying to Bangladesh soon and he will confirm all donations accordingly.
As many of you are aware of the famous hadith:
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease someone in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter."
Isn't more important for us as a community to help those in need, some of those people have lost loved ones and we a 're in a position to help those needy people, isn't it in our best interest to go to the day of judgement and have the testimony of the needy in our favour it could be our salvation .
I bid all of you farewell and I pray that each of you can open your hearts and donate whatever you can so we can change the lives of those in need.
Salamulaikum wa rahmadullahi wa barakatuhu.
Alameen
