Story

My name is Anita Armstrong author of the published book titled "Life in Strangeways published by John Blake publishing of London. The film I am producing is an independent feature film. The story is based on the life of Alan Lord who was the main negotiator in the worst prison riot in British and European history at HMP Strangeways prison in Manchester in 1990. The film title is "HMP Strangways 32".I have worked on the film project for over 2 years writing and re-writing the script and putting the film pack together. I have 4 development investors on-board who have bought a percent in the film to keep me going and cover the overheads and materials that I have needed to get this far with the film project. I also have backing from film Director Ken Loach to have the film made. I am looking for private independent funding so I can hire crew and cast and get the green light to have the film made creating jobs and opportunities and give people a chance to be part of what is going to be a great film. I am asking for help with this platform to raise £5'000. so I can buy some more of the original footage from the BBC archives of the BBC News footage from the Strangeways prison riot in 1990. I am asking for financial help for me to carry on working towards gaining the independent funding that I need to have the film made.
