Story

Fermanagh Fun Farm is a social enterprise opening in July 2019 in Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The aim of the farm is to provide an educational, fun, interactive, engaging, hands on farm experience, for animal lovers.

We want to create a family area with play equipment, picnic tables, sand Pitt, tractors to ride. By providing this area, families can spend longer on the farm and enjoy a picnic and relaxing, leisurely experience. The tractor themed climbing frame has step of steps and rock wall to climb up unto the frame of the tractor. It also has a trailer slide. Using tyres we plan to make a race track for young children to ride tractors around. The equipment is very expensive to purchase as its made using materials suitable for commercial use, rather than domestic use. It makes its more durable and safer for members of the public to use. If we were able to fund this using crowdfunding, it could have it in place for families coming for pre-booked sessions this summer.

The attraction will be expanded over the coming years to include rare breed animals, more outdoor play equipment areas, indoor play barn, education centre and tearoom.

During the summer of July 2019, we are offering pre-booked sessions or families and groups to come to the farm and have a real hands on experience of caring for animals and finding out how to look after their animals. We want to create a family area with this play equipment, picnic tables, sand Pitt, tractors to ride. By providing this area, families can spend longer on the farm and enjoy a picnic and relaxing, leisurely experience.

A day on the farm would consist of:

* Feeding a wide variety of farm animals,

* Collecting the eggs from the hens,

* Grooming the shetland ponies,

* Cuddling and feeding the rabbits and hamsters,

* Family picnic and playtime in the outdoor play garden.
