Story

Next year Chris and I will be hiking up Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. We will be raising money for a dementia charity in Newton Abbot. We will be hiking with John Powell from Unicare and Paul Dollins from Paul Dollins Accountants. Together we will be aiming to reach a target of £10,000. Chris, on the left of the picture is 34 and someone who works with me at United Response. Chris suffered from cerebral palsy of the brain when he was born and has a subsequent learning difficulty.

Me, on the right of the picture will shortly be 45 and work for United Response - a charity that works will adults who have learning difficulties and aims to put the person first and the disability last.

We are going to smash this challenge - hike up Kilimanjaro next October and prove that the barriers that exist for people with disabilities can be totally smashed!

We need your help to raise this money. The statistics about dementia and adults with learning difficulties are frightening and by doing this challenge we want to raise money and also raise awareness.

Please help, be generous and help us.
