    Story

On Thursday the 5th of July 2018, we lost our good friend, Alan.

Alan was a very devoted, loving person and the love he shown for his beautiful little sister, Rachel was second to none.

Losing Alan will tear a hole through his family and friends that no one or nothing will ever be able to replace. We lost Alan in a shock accident when he was travelling to work on his motorcycle and sadly found himself involved in a collision with another vehicle. Unfortunately, Alan didn't make it. However, with the power of the internet and the love of the people who use it I am creating this page in the upmost hope to create a balance sufficient enough to provide our beloved friend the send off we all know he deserves, with the hope of a little left to provide care and help for the family towards Alan's little superhero, Rachel. As I am sure you can all appreciate, with the death of Alan being such a shock to us the funds needed to provide this are not available to his family.

Alan was a very bright and wonderful personality who touched the life of everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him or calling him a friend, but for those of you who didn't know Alan and are about to donate, firstly, I thank you with all of my heart, secondly, here is a bit about Alan.

Alan had a very tough and challenging upbringing. He had to mature to the job of being the man of the house before reaching early teens as his dad left when he was only young leaving his beautiful and amazing mother, Lesley, to look after her three youngest children. Rachel, though being one of the few perfect soul's in the world required all the love and care that Lesley and Alan could provide. Which I am sure any of you who know anybody who suffers with severe disabilities understands how hard this can be. Despite his tough home life and distractions, Alan managed to stay focused on one thing his whole life, joining the Royal Marines. He was the most intelligent person I have ever had the pleasure of engaging conversations with ranging from his love of tomato sauce sandwiches, to his explanations of parallel universes, but his only love and focus and desire to aspire in life was to spend his career fighting for our country in the infamous Green Beret. Alan achieved this goal, but never managed to actually wear that prized green crown due to being medically discharged which broke Alan's heart and left him a little lost and confused for a while. But I know that even in his short time in the forces, like anywhere he went, he touched the lives of many of his fellow comrades. Alan settled in to a job at British gas and then eventually found a new love in his motorcycles, where he eventually walked in to his new dream job, selling them. This is the last job Alan had, where he lost his life on the way to work, on his beloved Kawasaki.

It is kind of hard to paint a picture of so many colours in so little words of somebody so majestic and wonderful like Alan, but I hope this gives you all a slight indication of the wonderful human being he was, and how hard the future is going to be for his loved ones without him.

So please, help us make this day as good as it can possibly be.

    Thank you.
