Story

I am going to attempt to cycle up Pico De Las Neive, the highest mountain on Gran Canaria; It's higher than our own Ben Nevis, it's one of the toughest uphill rides in Europe, an absolute killer! I am not a pro rider, or even semi pro but this place is used by the Tour De France teams as a training station; They will be flying by me no doubt as I struggle to the top. To picture the kind of uphill I am talking about.... If anyone reading this is familiar with the hill between Tyldesley and Astley, well it's pretty much like that for about 30miles! The ride back down be amazing but honestly this is a big, big challenge that I am going to be doing on a hire bike!!!!

I am doing this to help The homeless Support Project, so they can continue to give our homeless the help and support they deserve. They don't just provide clothes or food, but also sleeping bags, blankets and more importantly advice to help wherever they can.

If you could support this challenge it will make a difference to the poor souls you see on the streets of Leigh everyday; And I mean the genuine homeless, the charity know who is and isn't. Click here to visit the charity web site and see what they do and who they are.
