Story
We are trying to raise money for Alannah Sheehan the beautiful 32 year old daughter of Fionnuala who worked as a chef for many years here in the village.Alannah was diagnosed nearly 6 months ago whilst on maternity leave with stage 4 Gioblastoma Multiforme, a rare incurable brain cancer. She bravely underwent surgery whilst awake but unfortunatley it was not successful.Alannahs husband has had to give up work to look after her and there 3 very young children as Alannah often has seizures. We are trying to raise as much as we can to help towards the costs of her treatment and to help her and her family have the most comfortable life possible at this most terrible time.
Clare and Paul Groves and also anyone else that wishes to join them will be walking from the village to La Cala approx 20km in a few weeks (mid september). We are asking for people to show some genoristy to help this lovely family during this horrible time and to sponsor us on this walk.If anyone can help in any way please let Clare Groves know, donations, things to auction anything that you can do to help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thank you.I know times are hard right now for everyone but any small thing you can do right now will help.
