Up date September 2021

I'm now four and a half years post stroke and have luckily avoided covid for which I'm very thankful.

The annual CARTEN 100 bike ride challenge, like most events was cancelled last year but is on again this year and I wanted to enter to see if I can complete the challenge and raise some money for good causes. Also, I could do with loosing a few extra pounds put on during lock down!

I have entered the CARTEN100 again with my daughter, Megan - a bike ride from Cardiff to Tenby 110 miles in one day. Great physio for my left hip and knee both of which could do with a little more recovery to help my walking which I'm now managing with the aid of a stick.

With your help I'd like to raise more funds for both the stroke association and my local catholic church Our Lady and Saint Michael, Abergavenny

My personal ambition is to run one more half marathon, but which year I can not say ..... don't they say learn to walk before you run?!

Thanks again for your support and together one day we may prevent stokes?
