Celebrating the life of Albert Gardner
16.9.27 - 25.3.26
Albie was loved by everyone.
‘Handsome’, ‘a gentleman’, ‘the Dad I never had’ were some of the words people used to describe our Dad, Grandad, Brother, Uncle, Godfather and friend.
He was polite to a fault, picked litter off the pavement and was kind to strangers.
Everywhere he went, children flocked to talk to him. At a meal out once, a party of kids descended on him, climbing all over him.
He cared deeply for others and helped many to set up on their career path.
He loved football, gardening, history, landscapes and music.
A lifelong Liverpool fan, he was proud to wear his red cap about town.
His favourite colour was blue and he loved socialising especially with his mates in the West Cross/Norton area.
Later in life, he benefitted immensely from the Swansea Forget Me Not Dementia Club social events and the family would like to give something back to ensure this important lifeline keeps going for others.
Thank you so much to all at Forget Me Not Swansea.
'Celebration of Life' Funeral: 16th April, 12.45pm, All Saints Church, Mumbles. Please wear a dash (or more) of blue.
Love
Claire, Sally and the family
