After work experiences as a teacher, a trainer, a coordinator of projects for disadvantaged youth and, for many years, a stubborn and mostly unsuccessful financial trader, I would like to change my professional engagement and be involved, once again, in educational and social activities, starting a new career in development. For this reason, I am attending ASVI Social Change master’s programme in project management for international cooperation.

I believe in personal responsibility, in caring whenever is possible, in using one’s intelligence and thinking, in doing good deeds and in trying to be careful with people and living beings, especially the more fragile ones, for hurting them is often possible, damaging, regrettable and useless. I am a reader and I like nice stories, for I am a dreamer. I am a reader and I like well written books, for words can be beautiful, inspiring, nurturing and powerful. I am reserved, but I believe in the importance of relationships and collaborations, in order to reach an effective change of the existing conditions. While conducting professional activities and in every situation in which other people are involved, I try to respect the commitments assumed, the time for their realization and the words given in order to achieve better results and personal satisfaction that comes with the accomplishment of one’s obligations.

For the past few years, I have been a vegan, for I believe in respect for every living being. “All that lives is holy”, John Steinbeck wrote. I think that every action, even a small one, possesses a value and concerns the individual responsibility that every person maintains for oneself and the others and I see dignity in each behavior aimed at contributing to a possible betterment of reality.

In order to sustain the costs of the educational programme I am attending, I would like to raise £7,000.
