We are fundraising to enable Albrighton Community Fridge to continue to support those facing food insecurity this year.

In the face of the current Cost of Living Crisis that has that has followed on from the hardship caused to many by the COVID pandemic, huge numbers of people across the capital are struggling to support themselves.

By collected unused and unwanted food from local food retailers, and with the support of the many individuals, groups, clubs, schools, businesses and other organisation who donate food to Albrighton Community Fridge, 800 to 1000 people are supported each week with food.

In the last two years since Albrighton Community Fridge joined Hubbub Foundation’s Food Connect scheme, which provided the Community Fridge with an electric van to help with over 170 food collects made each week, Albrighton Community Fridge has provided the equivalent of over one million meals.

As the numbers at the top of this page show, we have been incredibly fortunate to have received tremendous support through our JustGiving page. It is only through the hard work of out staff and volunteers, and through the generosity of those who have been able to donate both food and money to Albrighton Community Fridge, that we have been able to help so many people.

We are immensely grateful to all those who have supported us to get this far.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t end here. Need continues to grow, as does the challenge of meeting an ever increasing demand for food.

So having provided a million meals, we are going to provide a million more!
