Aldergrove Cycling club part of Naomh Seamus Aldergrove GAC, are delighted to announce that their ‘Loop of the Lough’, Cycling Challenge will take place on Saturday 13th May 2017 and we would love for guys to come along.

The event, which is sponsored by Mercury Security Management, challenges cyclists to take part in an 77 mile ‘Loop of the Lough’, to raise funds for the club and Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. Not only are we gearing up for the loop, but this year we added in a supervised 10km loop of Aldergrove for children 14+.

We ran this successful fundraiser for club the last year and were able to donate £6,000 to the Children’s Hospice, it’s hoped that we can achieve £10,000 this year! We’d really appreciate if your club would take part, we’re asking many cycling clubs within the local area to come along and support this event. Its only £20 to register and by contacting acc@stjamesaldergrove.com we can also send you out a sponsor form.

Lunch will be provided at the halfway point in Ardboe and we might even give you a tasty burger when you finish back at the club house in Crumlin.

Details of routes are provide below and on the attached flyer, let us know if any of your club members would like to take part so we can have them pre-registered. On the day of the event, registration will start at 8am with groups leaving at 9am. The registration for the loop of Aldergrove will start at 9am with the supervised loop taking place between 10-noon.

As an extra bonus for kids we’re also letting them cycle round St Josephs Primary school playground. This is open to any child of any ability between 12-pm.
