Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Alderney Library is completely run by volunteers and under 16s can borrow books for free.. The aim is to raise a total of £5,000 to completely renovate the children’s section of the library. This will include replacing the VHS tapes with DVDs, a ‘book buddies’ toy chest, and even a small area for the children to listen to stories at Storytime which we have started every Saturday. I really want to make this a great space for the children to use and something we can be proud of. We have already Raised over £2,000 from fundraising on the island by doing a Jumble Sale and Bingo Night. Myself and a few local artists will be painting a mural on the wall to give it an underwater theme for the Children.
Some people were not able to make the events so we have set up this page to give them an easier way to help them donate towards to renovation.
