Story
After many years in Scouting achieving the Chief Scout Gold Award and now as a young leader, I am proud to say that I have been selected to represent the UK in West Virginia, America, at the World Scout Jamboree 2019. This is one of the highest honours a Scout can achieve and I am really proud to have been chosen.
The Jamboree takes place every four years and the location changes each iteration. Next year, the world's largest collection of Scouts will meet at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia. The camp will last twelve days and will be filled with many opportunities to try new activities and meet new people. During this time I will make new friends, learn new skills and achieve things I never thought I would. With your help I can go on this once in a lifetime opportunity and change as a person!
So far I have taken part in many fundraising events including: a quiz night, an Easter raffle and running a stall at the Burnham Donkey Derby.
