Story

Alex was paralysed aged 9 by a rare neurological condition called Transverse Myelitis. Always a sporty child , he wasn't going to let the small matter of being in a wheelchair stop him. While at a multi sports camp for children with disabilities, Alex discovered he has a talent for wheelchair tennis and has been playing ever since. He has won junior tournaments and even represented GB at the World Team Cup. Alex's big ambition is to get selected for the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020. To do this he will need individual coaching and the opportunity to compete in as many tournaments as possible. The junior tournaments are held all around the country and last all weekend so to attend them we have to pay travel and hotel costs. Unfortunately, as I am Alex's carer, I am unable to work and have to rely on benefits, so finding the money to cover those costs can be a real challenge. This is where you come in. If you could help out with whatever money you can spare, you will be playing a part in producing a possible future gold medalist. We would also be willing to speak to any companies regarding a possible sponsorship deal. Thank you so much for reading.
