Story

Hi there,we are trying to raise what we can to help a 34yr old man who has epilepsy and also suffers with narcolepsy, to assist with helping get back on his feet with employment and in general. He joined the army at 16 then joined the prison service at 20 and was by all means a very physically fit guy who was into kickboxing and bodybuilding.unfortunately a few years ago a few things changed and he started having grand mal seizures regularly and then would at a later date be also diagnosed with narcolepsy after it was noted he could not stay awake for long periods of time.He held his job down through this period however as he was commuting on train to London and back (2 hours each way) and working 13 hour shifts at a minimum of four in a row, something had to give in order for him to get on top of his conditions.he is mostly stable on medication and is desperate to get back to work.He has already been approved to be trained over several months by a charity and will then work as a support counsler with less fortunate people in the community involved with substance misuse and homelessness etc.however funding the course and basic bits like even getting to the course facility and centre everyday, plus funding the course is the main problem for him.he has a wife and two children, one of which has learning disabilities and they are living on the breadline.Hes desperate to get back to work,as he always has worked since he was 13, and this has all taken away such a big part of who he was.It caused lots of depression as he felt he lost his identity and even the things he use to enjoy such as his fitness, disappeared but he's determined to get that back eventually also and desplays such positive outlooks at present ,it would be a shame if he financially won't be able to afford the training.if you can find it in you to help someone who's worked for his country his whole career and only wants to get back to a role helping others less fortunate it will make a big difference
