Story

We often take our abilities for granted - being able to walk, talk, communicate with our friends and family, be creative, go to work, go to school, study, read a book, watch a movie...the list goes on.

For so many disabled kids in the North East, life isn't so easy. Hayden , 4, was born prematurely at 31 weeks and has Global Development Delay and visual impairments. Erin , 3, was also born prematurely and was later diagnosed with the rare CHARGE Syndrome, meaning she has delayed development, is tube fed, and is oxygen dependent.

I discovered The Sunshine Fund back in March, when I met Lauren, the charity's Fundraiser. We then worked together in June of this year when I took over the charity's social media profiles as part of The Charity Project, an initiative set up between myself and two other businesses where we offer one charity per month a free marketing package. During the month of June, I learned so much about the charity and all the kids that the charity is supporting. After getting a true understanding of the cause and wanting to do something extra myself, I ran The Sunshine Run in aid of the charity.

Now, I am going a step further and will be running the Great North Run this September for The Sunshine Fund. This is such a fantastic charity and I hope you will support me in reaching my goal of £300. Thank you so much!
