Story

Hope VMS Elaine's Dogs is a rescue shelter for dogs founded in the federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are registered as an Association for the Protection of Animals. Founded in 2013 by sisters Maya Majoly and Sanela Sujoldzic, they work tirelessly to help save the dogs of Sarajevo and surrounding areas from the horrors of life on the streets or the public pounds

(Vucka on the streets of Visoko 2019 and with Maya in Autumn 2019)

Presently they care for 55 dogs at the shelter, feeding, caring and rehabilitating them. They work hard arranging adoptions all over Europe and have had at time of writing this 294 successful adoptions. Every time they find one dog a loving home it allows us to take another into our care and change that dog's life.

(Yamir abandoned as a puppy now in the care of Hope VMS)

In addition to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs we have to date successfully rehomed 29 cats and kittens and presently have 2 in foster care.

With no official funding so they rely solely on donations from individuals in the global community to continue or life saving work. They are a private rescue shelter so do not receive any money for boarding dogs.
