Hello,
My name is Alex, im 16 and I was told I had discitis as a child.

Being a child I was very active, fit and loved sport however I was unaware what was happening to me, on the inside.
I had discitis in my lower spine which wasnt found untill recently. It was untreated and destroyed the disc between my vertibrates completly causing spinal fusion at such a young age.

As I grew I noticed pain but it wasn't untill I fell out of a tree last year onto a tree stump, directly on my spine that I knew.
I was taken to hospital with risks of more serious conditions, having fallen on my spine, I had many x-rays and an MRI scan to understand why I could hardly move.

After being in hospital all weekend the spinal consultant let me know I would always experience alot of pain and this was extremely rare in my age, considering only 1 in 150,000 people get discitis and most are older.

There's many things I can't do anymore, dofe was a challenge but I strider on through. I cannot jump on a trampoline as the pain is so sheer and I feel like I have fallen out the tree all over again with every jump.

A great hobby of mine is video production and playing on my computer, I hope to persue video profproduc to become a director, taking a level 3 UAL course in video production and technology next year however this takes alot of sitting at my desk to do. Something I find hard.

At school I could only use certain chairs, large, padded and only for a sport time die touthe pain. Working at home I will need to sit for hours which is why in here. To seek funding for a second hand "steel case gesture". A chair greatly recommend to me to immensely help with pain.

If you would like to assist me on my goal it would be much appreciated so I can follow my dream without pain at so young.
