My name is Alex, I'm 17 and ever since I began exploring the underwater world through various activities, I noticed the ever increasing damage that is being done to our marine life.

In the past decade, there has been a huge rise in the amount of plastic and other litter found in our beautiful oceans today. Unfortunately, this means many marine environments are suffering, with different species being killed everyday by rubbish.
Sometimes it feels as though there isn't much we could do. Not everyone has the time and money to single handedly clean up the Ocean, however the Ocean Clean Up Project, founded by an 18 year old Dutch inventor Boyan Slat, has come up with a new machine that can trap litter and plastic in the ocean across large distances, without having an impact on the marine life!

By raising funds we can help the already growing project advance forward and develop further technologies as well as carrying out the clean up! Even a small donation will have a big impact!
