Story

My gorgeous Son, Alex, is currently transitioning from the Woman he was mistakenly born as.

3 years ago he started on his journey, and going through the NHS, we knew it might be a long trek! His priority was to have his chest reconstructed, as it was the main sticking point of his identity change, with having a size HH bust, they can not be bound without dreadful pain, and are hard to disguise.

This year had been an amazing year for Alex .. Graduating from South Wales University, with 1st Class Honours! Yay! And then the appointment came through for his pre-op consultation with the surgeon of his choice! Double Yay!

So off we travelled to London, leaving the consultation celebrating the fact that that Alex would have his breasts removed and reconstructed as soon as December .. Brilliant, tears of joy were shed!

2 days later Alex receives the worst call, the surgeon was refused NHS funding .. the 2nd surgeon of this kind of surgery to be denied. This means that the waiting lists are getting longer and the surgeons are becoming fewer.

This has devastated Alex and has affected his Mental Health greatly.

I am hoping to raise the funds needed to allow Alex to have the surgery privately, as I do not think he deserves or can manage to wait another 12-18 months with the NHS, as funding is being cut for this procedure all the time.

Please help us, it will change Alex's life and will be the start to a bright and successful future.

Thank you so much in advance!
