Story
I'm climbing Mount Elbrus (the highest mountain in Europe) for charity. Our charity is affiliated with Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland although we are self funded. The club meets in the Royal British Legion in Bathgate every Tuesday from 13:30 to 15:30. Although based in Bathgate members come from all over West Lothian (Stoneyburn included). We carry out activities such as Boccia (seated bowls), New Age Curling, Pub Games, Quizzes and Musical Entertainment. We also have speakers that visit us and occasionally have group lunch excursions. Our aim is to encourage social interaction and maintain and improve progress, thus giving a better quality of life and in turn giving partners and carers a short period of respite. Our motto is "No life half lived".

Alexander Edgar
My name is Alexander (Sandy) Edgar. I do a lot of hillwalking such as climbing the Scottish Munros, in fact, I have climbed them all! In carrying out this activity I have used it as a means of raising money for charities such as Cancer Research UK and Alzheimer Scotland.
