I've raised £200 to help set up a community food garden

Organised by alexandra Fallon
Recently the Newcastle Borough council spent thousands of pounds building a community food garden in the heart of Chesterton for children and young people within the area. Due to cuts this area has had to be closed, and has since become over grown and unusable. I am voluntarily stepping up to re-open the garden, to allow local schools, nurseries and other groups to come along and get involved. Activities such as growing their own food, exploring fauna and flora and carrying out group projects to support our eco-system and learn about sustainability.
