I've raised £200 to help buy winter clothes and stationery for children in Gavane, Romania, for Christmas

Story
Last summer we fundraised together some money for the children in Gavane, Romania. For those who haven’t heard of Gavane (that would be most of you, I assume) it’s where I spent most of my summer holidays during my childhood as my grandparents lived there. It’s also a rural area in Buzau county whose history filled my head with stories of giants, secret treasures, tunnels and outstanding landscapes. Apart from magical beauty, what also Gavane has is children who go to school and who have to share their clothes with their relatives. Also the same children go to a school made of clay with mostly zero resources.
What am I fundraising for?
I want to fundraise both for buying stationery and clothing this winter for children in this small village where pupils often have to wear their relatives' clothes or share them between family. Winters are very harsh in Romania, especially in the mountain area and owning their own clothes made of materials that keep them warm will make the kids happier and less likely to get sick.
As I mentioned last year, their school is made out of clay and lacks a lot of what we would consider today necessary in order to learn, hence as much as the budget will allow us we want to buy stationery supplies for school as well. Every donation counts and Christmas is coming shortly, this can be the perfect opportunity to help those who really need it. With as little as 200 pounds we can afford to purchase the clothes needed to dress the children in the village and buy school materials such as stationery and notebooks.
Will you help us make the change?
