Mr and Mrs Scott-Hunter as well as many other families in Oxfordshire have been let down due to cuts to support for people with learning disabilities. They have decided to launch their own multi-million pound day care centre in Oxfordshire in order to get the appropriate care and support for adults with learning disabilities. The idea came after Rachel and Ian Scott-Hunter's daughter Alexandra who has severe learning disabilities due to suffering from a brain haemorrhage at the age of 4 days old, was forced to use a centre catering for elderly people with Alzehemiers and other types of dementia. My mother Catherine Siggers, has been supporting and looking after Alexandra for the past 22 years. With your donations we can keep the project going so Alexandra and many others who aren't getting the correct support will finally be able to have the appropriate care they need.
I will be running the British 10k (Sunday, 15 July) and the Oxford Half Marathon (Sunday, 07 October) for The Alexandra House of Joy Project.
