Leighton hospitals ward 14 need a garden for the patients. The garden is estimated to cost £55,000. My mum works on this ward and i would like to help get 'THE NIGHTINGALE GARDEN' construction underway. I am helping to raise money for 'the Nightingale garden' as it will help dementia patients at Leighton.

Like my mum i have also worked closely with dementia patients as a care assistant and its amazing how much of an impact access to a garden can have on dementia patients as well as standard patients.

The changes in a dementia patient with access to any garden not just the 'the Nightingale garden' can include:

- encourage positive and polite behaviour.

- Helps boost confidence in patients especially in the early onset of dementia.

- i have witnessed first hand that it is possible to bring back some memories that family members thought were lost.

'The Nightingale garden' will help the patients, give them the freedom to go outside in a safe and comfortable area. The patients will have the ability to feed birds, do some gardening and more.
