Sadly this year wild fires that swept over the town of Mati in Greece claimed the lives of 91 people. Winds of 75mph added fuel to the fire as people tried to escape by car and into the sea. The fire may now be extinguished but the nightmare for the people from this region continues. Wether it be the heartbreaking moment of returning to burnt through homes where treasured memories were made or mourning the loss of a loved one. These people will now need to face the reality of rebuilding their homes.

Being from Greece and having witnessed these wild fires first hand I felt I needed to do something to help. My family are safe and sound but thats not the case for the people of Mati. My aim is to raise money to pass on to the Greek Red Cross and DESMOS who are helping people rebuild their lives.
