I've raised £20000 to Child survival: Impacting 4 communities in Delmas (Haiti), Nderu (Kenya), Namabasa (Uganda) and Mandaue (The Philippines)

The equivalent of £38.08 a month.
That’s the average income for families living in Nderu, on the outskirts of Nairobi. Coupled with an unemployment
rate of 52%, compared to a national average of 11.4%, it is clear that mothers in this community living in poverty
need support if they are to be able to provide the upbringing their children need.i
A local church partnering with
Compassion is determined to provide this support.
The Africa Inland Church in Nderu wants to launch a Child Survival intervention that will see expectant mothers
supported with vaccinations, the presence of a medical professional at their birth and vital help in bringing up
their baby in its first year of life. At a cost of £9,037.04, The Africa Inland Church in Nderu will be able to
support up to 15 mothers and their babies through a Child Survival intervention from July 2021 to June 2022. This
will allow the children to get a better start in life, before they move into the sponsorship programme once they
reach their first birthday.
By funding Child Survival at this church, you will help provide mothers living in poverty with the support they need
to see their children thrive.
GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT VIEW
In September 2015, UN world leaders set a transformational course for the
future of human development by creating the 17 Sustainable Development
Goals. Along with other major charities such as UNICEF and Save the
Children, Compassion includes these goals at the heart of its work, in order
to combat poverty and inequality, and transform our world.
The Sustainable Development Goals call on the world to:
Eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere.
End hunger and ensure access by all people to safe, nutritious
and sufficient food all year round.
Reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per
100,000 live births.
End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls.
Empower and promote the inclusion of all.
