We are a charity based organization here at APAF, raising awareness of this terrible condition to help support friends and family of sufferers as well as the sufferers themselves. By raising awareness we are not only slowly erasing the stigma attached to 'doing an Alex Paul' but we are also helping people understand that the sufferer is not intentionally trying to ruin their own life or the lives of those around them.

Now Im sure you wont be familiar with the term 'doing an Alex Paul' and you are probably wondering what that means. This for the sufferer means their state of mind or miscalculated logic often leads to mental or physical suffering - and for their carer or friends and family it often leads to mental or physical suffering. It's the same - no one is a winner. It's very sad.
