This little super hero is Alex (my gorgeous God Son). In July last year he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called SMA Type two.

SMA is a muscle wasting disorder and over time your body starts to lose strength. Alex is only 2 ½ years old and in the past few months he has lost his ability to stand unassisted and is really struggling to crawl and sit.

In the future he will lose the ability to move his legs and lower body and he will have a severely weakened core and arms. As time goes on Alex will develop problems swallowing and breathing and he is going to need lots of help.

That’s where “Alex’s Angels” step in!!! A team of 8 girls are taking on the Tough Mudder Challenge to help raise some money for this little guy!!

Alex will need lots of specialist medical equipment and mobility aids in his lifetime which is likely to costs tens of thousands of pounds.
