I've raised £500 to Support Sheffield Children’s Hospital

Hi guys,
Please read Alex’s story below and the reasons we are trying to raise money for a very deserving cause!
So, for those of you who don‘t know already Alex (my 11year old little monkey) has recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Whilst this is a life long illness he will hopefully for the majority of the time live a normal symptom free life but this obviously came as a shock to all of us as it was quite unexpected to say the least!
As part of his recovery Alex has been put on a ‘milkshake’ diet for 6 weeks! This means no solid food, only water, a small glass of lemonade and a small packet of haribos a day plus 7 of his special milkshakes. He is now nearly half way through and is doing amazingly well (not sure i would have handled it so well to be honest!) but doesn’t finish his diet until the 3rd January, yes that means no Christmas dinner! 🙁
After speaking with Alex he decided that although he has no choice but to continue this diet it would be great if something good could come out of it and he could help other children in his position or indeed in alot of cases much worse situations.
The money we raise through this will be donated to Sheffield Childrens Hospital who do an absolutely fantastic job to help children from all over the country every single day.
We appreciate that Christmas is an expensive time of year but ask if you can donate (no matter how small) then as well as giving Alex some fantastic motivation through this difficult time you will also be supporting a fantastic cause.
Many thanks for reading Alex’s story and Merry Christmas!!
Ange and Alex xxx
