    Story

The car I hoped to be my new pride and joy was sold to me with so many hidden issues and the mechanic that was used to look the car over before I brought her apparently is no good and did not spot any issues.

I had hoped that buying my Alfa Romeo Brera that i would of only had to spend couple of grand on things like paint work and other cosmetic issues. I am now currently at £2000 in repairs with still another £1600 to go and this is even both I can start on the cosmetics. I am not rich person and slot of my money goes on paying to live as is true for most people. It's at this point I wish I a had a partner I could share the financial burdens with.

By helping to fund this project car I hope to get everything resolved and turn her into a show car.

The Alfa Romeo owners club is a fantastic group and are always doing events. It would be amazing to get this beautiful piece of Italian design looking and working great again.

The previous owners did not take much pride in what they had. The removal of things like the stonechip guard are the rear wheel arches which in turn has damaged the paint work right down to the metal panels. They was then badly covered up with what I can only guess water colour paints because after one wash the paint disappeared to show the paint damaged.

There are other poorly done things to the engine which I have already sorted out myself. Again the previous owners must not of known what they where doing as they attempted some bad tuning of the engine and self deletion of the egr valve. They used a bit of scrap metal to blank the valve off causing a huge build of carbon in the engine.

This is not the way a car should be treated as they are almost of money and for most people slot of money is hard to come by. Cars deserve to well maintained and loved. If people want a car and not look after if, all you are doing is ruining the secondhand market and causing people more burdens they do not need or deserve.

I am an alfaist through and through. I love my car. People think it's strange giving them a name. I think by giving them a name they are more loved and cared for as you build a bond. Mine is called Arianna
