Story

Alfie is 19 years old. He is an alpine ski racer who has represnted his country in various races throughout his seasons. Over christmas, whilst training in framce, he fell, and tore his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). He has undergone various scans and examinations whilst in france and they determined what he had done. Once we got him back to the UK he had an MRI which detailed how severe the problem was.

In April he will have to undergo a full surgery to re-construct his ACL and MCL and replace destroyed bones and stop internal bleeding. At the moment he is doinh vigourous physiotherapy to strenghten his muscle in his knee so that after the operation it doesnt waste away too much.

We were told that if we had the operation on the NHS he would have to wait until September for an operation, meaning he would spend everyday of his summer in pain. Therefore we are trying to go private to help him get the best recovery as quick as possible. We are in need of help to pay for his surgery and his physio, so please any donation big or small is so grately appreciated to help our son get better.

Thank you.
