About Us
COPE is a registered charity since 2005 with a 100% donation policy run solely by Volunteers. Rest assured that any money that you donate will go to the beneficiaries without any deduction of administration fees or overheads.
COPE was set up in response to the devastating earthquake in Pakistan that claimed over 70,000 lives. At that time we were involved heavily in aid work, providing tents, food, medicines and essential items for thousands of people that were displaced as a result of the disaster. As part of the mass rebuilding effort, we built our first school in the village of Bissyan near Balakot, an area that was destroyed by the earthquake.
Our ethos is to make a difference, however small that may be, by giving hope and offering help and support to those that have lost all hope. Our current work focuses around the relief of poverty, enhancement of education and improvement of life conditions of the most impoverished in Pakistani society. We make grants to vulnerable, destitute people and our beneficiaries include orphans, disabled people, elderly people and widows.
Our recent work involves funding the completion of a school in Karachi, orphan marriages as well as funding towards a well and solar panels for an orphanage to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply. Your donations and support will directly help make a difference towards improving the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people in Pakistan.
