Extension of Norbury Muslim Center London SW16.

I have been given the opportunity to raise money for the extension work for my local masjid Norbury Muslim Center. I recently moved to Norbury in 2021 and met the local brothers and uncles from the community in this masjid. What I can tell you is that this masjid is a community masjid, you feel the love of brotherhood here, you feel as if there is someone amongst the brothers who is looking to help someone, the youth program is amazing and the imam's encourage the children to give the athaan, to fill in the front lines - Subhannallah, this is how a masjid should be. Honestly speaking, if it was not for the brothers and uncles of this masjid I wouldve moved back to my original home town - North London.

From this masjid I offered my services to help design and automate a salah screen app as the current one was outdated, Alhamdu Lillah I delivered the app and received great feedback from the community. A months later a few charity groups came to fundraise and noticed the salah screen, and showed interest in having the same one in their masjid - Alhamdu Lillah. So I decided to help other masjids have the same program and all done for the sake of Allah. I do not charge for the app and also help masjids if they require a basic static website, again, all for the sake of Allah. But it would be great if masjids can donate something towards our local Norbury Muslim Center.

Norbury Muslim Center have been given the opportunity to finally purchase their masjid after 11 years.

Their focus is to nurture and build community, to cultivate concern and affection in all members for each other. The Prophet (SAW) said "a believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts support each other.”

To be able to continue and expand their activities and services for the community we need to raise £500,000. The Prophet (SAW) said: “Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
