Story

Help Ali Help Bristol’s Homeless!

📅: September 9th

⏰: 6:00 am

📍: Lake Windermere

This September, I'm going to be embarking my biggest fundraising endeavor yet. On Saturday, 9th September, I will be swimming the distance of half a marathon in the magnificent Lake Windermere - the largest lake in the UK! All of my fundraising will go to supporting , Help Bristol’s Homeless (HBH).🏊‍♂️

I will be covering a distance of 21 kilometers, and will brave the waters and swim the distance of a half marathon. I will be navigating the right side of the lake to avoid encountering any potentially hazardous algae types, and will be equipped with my Garmin watch to accurately track his distance as he swims.

Now that my training is fully underway, I'm reaching out to my incredible community, family and friends to help support me in my fundraising efforts. All funds raised will directly benefit HBH, providing essential support and resources to those in need. HBH are a local registered charity whose ethos is that housing must come first, and everything else comes after. They put it best themselves when they say “we believe that having a home is not an entitlement, it is a RIGHT. Everybody should have the opportunity to live in a place they can call their own.”

Your contribution, no matter the size, will play a vital role in transforming the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness. Together, we can create positive change and make a real difference in our community. Please rally behind me as I takes on this exceptional challenge and make my swim an overwhelming success! 🙌

Thank you all for your incredible support and generosity.
