Story

Hi. My name is Alia Mahmood and I am 16 years old. My project this year aims to help women and children in Pakistani villages with a low development index. I am hoping to accomplish this by doing the following:

1) Distributing basic health essential packs which include toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary items and so forth.

2) Setting up workshops to talk educate young people on taboo subjects such rape, domestic violence, sexual harassment and honour killings; doing the above stated will enable education and gender equality resulting in social justice.

3) Donate money and resources to schools, orphanages and women hostels.

It is extremely important that we as a community help the voiceless and stop the horrendous reality millions are facing. It took me quite a long time to develop a voice and now that I have, I’m not going to remain silent. We don’t need to be made stronger. We’re already strong. We just need to change the way the world perceives us.

LET'S DO THIS!!!
