Story

For those who know me know that the road to performing arts training has not been an easy one. I started my journey at Havering College completing two years and leaving with Merit Merit Distinction.

I then took a gap year to save up, working in a department store and at our local theatre.

I worked on my fitness and started the gruelling rounds of auditions to land my dream place at Roehampton University studying Contemporary Dance.

Little did I know this honey moon would end so soon. Within two weeks my accommodation had fallen apart, flooding my room, I had no heating in the winter months amongst numerous other issues, but I was determined to not let this stop me working hard to achieve my goals.

Unfortunately this was when I first met my stalker. They made it their mission to ruin everything I had, my relationships with tutors, my room in accommodation by breaking in and, my mental state.

It became a very lonely place. Following an extensive police investigation I decided, for my safety it would be best not to return. I was beyond devastated.

Then my dear friend, whom I had grown up with and thought would always be there to share my life events passed away-I had no direction and a huge light in my life was blown out.

Determined to make sense of the difficult times, I then auditioned for CPA Studios and was awarded a place with a bursary! I felt as though everything was coming together, I would still perform, nothing could stop me now! But I was wrong. Two weeks ago I received the news that CPA Studios had gone into liquidation.

With the support of some fantastic tutors who wanted to help the students overcome this tragic circumstance, I began yet another round of auditions

I have decided to complete my training at TTC, although this presents another challenge, I now have to pay over £200 a month for travel. I'm also faced with other unexpected costs such as a very specific uniform list, not to mention higher tuition fees.

So please, any spare change will help me to achieve what I thought would be impossible in the dark months leading up to this moment.

I cannot express how touched I have been at the generosity of spirit shown by people I barely know and am still reliant on the financial generosity of others, to take the next step on, what has proved to be an unexpected journey.

Thank you from my heart.
