I've raised £1000 to help look after animals in the Bolivian Amazon as part of the Quest team.

Hi I’m Alice and this summer I’ll be working in the Inti Wara Yassi wild animal refuges in the Bolivian Amazon. This is in partnership with the Quest team who have been working with the refuges since 2002. These refuges exist to give a home to animals rescued from captivity in circuses or for sale as pets, returning them to their natural habitat with a quality of life that they deserve.
I am raising money to make the £850 contribution to the Quest4Change charity http://quest4change.org/ which the project needs. This money will be used to buy more land to build more habitats to house the animals that can’t be returned to the wild, as well as providing their daily care and veterinary needs.
Any other money I raise I am using so that I can go out and join the team for 6 weeks this summer. Whilst I am out there I will be building new enclosures, a quarantine area and an extension to the vet clinic to their newest refuge, Park Jacj Cuisi. Then we will be transferring to Park Ambue Ari, where I will help take care of the animals there.
I will be doing lots of fundraising activities over the next few months like cakes sales and the Yorkshire warrior run, so stay tuned to get involved. It’s really exciting to be a part of this project and I can’t wait to go out and get started, but I cannot go without the help of everyone who donates. Every penny counts and is deeply appreciated so please give what you can.
Thank you!
