I've raised £600 to run the Amsterdam half marathon in aid of Compass Bridge, who provide amazing experiences for children with special needs

I’ve decided to run my first ever half marathon in Amsterdam on 21st October to raise money for Compass Bridge, who deliver active learning opportunities to young people with learning difficulties.
This is for my gorgeous little sister Scarlett, and all the other young people this charity helps day after day. Scarlett has Kabuki Syndrome, which affects 1 in 32,000 births. It is a rare multi-system disorder characterized by multiple abnormalities including distinctive facial features, growth delays, varying degrees of intellectual disability, skeletal abnormalities and short stature. This year, aged 11, she has finally had the courage to take part in Compass Bridge activities and the confidence and skills she has learnt have been life changing.
Compass Bridge’s aim is to provide a safe environment, which encourages young people to make positive choices about their futures by lifting the barriers to learning in a fun but educational and confidence building way. They offer many opportunities for children to grow and learn. Some activities to name a few include woodwork, crafts, pony riding, kayaking, rock climbing, archery, team building and visiting places of interest.
Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this charity, and also motivate me to keep my feet moving and get to that finish line!
