Story

Edward is a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang aholic. Since he was 18 months old i think we have watched this fil. (Sometimes back to back) about 5 million times surely. We all know it word for word.
Throughout his short little life so far he has been faced with so many challenges. When Edward was 4 months old he was diagnosed with Diffuse Cutaneous Mastocytosis. The worst form of cutaneous mastocytosis and this also is inside his bowels. Its where the mast cells form flat tumors in the skin and infiltrate the entire surface area of it. It causes flushing, itching, discomfort and blistering and also leaves him at constant risk of having idiopathic anaphalaxis. He has been very poorly with it at times and continues to be on daily cocktail of medications to help control it. It blisters his skin sometimes meaning at times our little whirlwind is actually confined to his little wheelchair. This little sausage has been through so many blood tests, bone marrow aspirates, MRI, EEG, biopsy, drug trials.... its hard to believe he is only 3. He is struggling a lot with other issues at the moment too and we want to bring a bit of that childhood magic to him while he still believes it all and make his world more exciting. Chitty is his comfort and we always have a device on hand for difficult times. *** CHANGE OF PLAN***

****AMAZING NEWS****

Little did we know that it was actually the 50 year anniversary !!! What brilliant timing. This means down at Beaulieu, they are having a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Exhibition. This means we are completely changing our agenda and are now raising a much smaller sum to pay for the travel and hotel to take Edward to the real Chitty !!!! On Sunday 21st October we will be travelling down to Hampshire to visit the event on the Monday ! Theres a chance Edward can even ride in the real chitty chitty bang bang car which would make his life!!!! We are so grateful for all your support so far. Such kindness and generosity !!!
