I am going to Tanzania in July 2017 for three weeks. The first section of the trip will be spent hiking through the Uluguru mountains where we will visit local tribes as well as seeing the landscape. The largest proportion of the trip will be spent doing voluntary work, such as teaching English and Maths in the schools and building structures for the locals (ie chicken coups, cow sheds etc). This is a great opportunity for me because I will be able to appreciate everything I have so much more by seeing how other people struggle as well as soaking up the local culture.
