Story

On the 14th of September we are taking on the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in one continuous effort in the classic 3 Peaks challenge! We'll take on Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Mount Snowdon (1,085m), aiming to summit all three in less than 24 hours.

We are doing this in aid of Hope 4 Kibera a recently launched charity which aims to fund the opening and running of a school in the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya. The Kibera is the largest urban slum in Africa and home to about a million people living in poverty, where families fight the daily battle for survival against all the diseases of poverty.

Hope 4 Kibera is a charity that has been set up to support the works of a local Kenyan Charity 'Swahiba Networks', who have been working in the slums for the last 7 years. Swahiba's principle aim is to provide holistic support to secondary school children and their families. Swahiba had the vision of opening a free school in order to enable more children to complete their education. The school was built; however, there are currently no sustainable funds to open and operate it. This is where Hope 4 Kibera comes in! With your help Swahiba can do even more to support the Kibera community.
