I've raised £300 to Support St John the Baptist Church, The Lea

Lea Church, like many, is struggling financially this year with limited income and most fundraising events cancelled. For my daughter Jessica (aged 4) and I the church provides us with support and a strong sense of community. It feels only right that if possible I/we should do anything we can to help at this time.
I had booked to participate in the Vierdaagse or Four Days March in Nijmegen, The Netherlands later in July and wasn't surprised when it was cancelled a few months ago. It is a 4x25mile road walking challenge that I have completed 5 times. In 2015 I completed it whilst 30 weeks pregnant and then in 2016 I carried Jessica on my back for over half of the distance. This is the first year since that I have felt that I have the time to attempt it again.
I was sad when the event was cancelled. In the wake of the cancelled London Marathon there were numerous 2.6/26 private challenges undertaken, using this as inspiration I decided that I could change Nijmegen into 'Wyemegen' and challenge myself here in the UK. It is my plan (despite limited training) to road walk 25 miles on 4 consecutive days sometime in early August (precise dates to fit around work).
In Nijmegen I walk with 45,000 other participants and there is a joyous euphoria that surrounds the event. It is difficult to replicate this in rural Herefordshire and 'Wyemegen' will be tougher without it. However, I won't be walking alone, Jessica has agreed to challenge herself to walk 5 miles each day with me. She is a good walker and when old enough I hope we will walk in Nijmegen together.
This is our challenge. If you feel able to support us and make a donation to the upkeep of Lea Church I/we and the PCC would be most grateful.
