I am thrilled and proud to announce that I will be taking my new show ‘Earth to Alice - Free As A Word’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2026.
The show will be part of the PBH Free Fringe.
My name is Alice McCullough, and I am an award-winning performance poet from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
This is my first time performing a full run of my work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2022, I performed an 8-day run of my show ‘Earth to Alice’ to critical acclaim. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and helped in no small way for me to build my confidence in the hope that one day I might do a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
I raised £1,485 via JustGiving to help support me with expenses for that show, with huge thanks to the generosity of all who donated. This support made a massive difference. It made the trip possible for me. I am reaching out again here on JustGiving because now, four years later, I am finally putting plans in place to live out my dream of performing a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
From 8th - 30th August 2026, at 2.50pm each day, I will be sharing my poems, songs and stories at the Strathmore Bar (Venue 160). All are welcome and the show is free. Here is the link for more info:

The Edinburgh Fringe is notoriously expensive to partake in, but thanks to the PBH Free Fringe and JustGiving, I can find a way. I am in deep gratitude for the opportunity to share my work at the Edinburgh Fringe - The biggest and one of the most exciting Arts festivals in the world.
