Story

Myself and 5 of my Kreston Reeves colleagues, have been given an amazing opportunity to head out to Ghana to work on a community build project. The project starts in October 2019 and we will have the pleasure of being there for 10 days.

Without funding from volunteers, the community would not be able to afford the local building developments which have improved the local standard of living through access to safe drinking water, toilets and much needed health clinics.

We will be working in a team on projects which may be building a school, a health clinic, rain water harvesting, improving sanitation by building a toilet block or hand dug wells. Depending on the current building stage it may involve digging foundations, mixing mortar, laying cement, building walls, plastering or painting.

I have pledged to raise £1,500 which will cover the costs of getting to Ghana and contributions towards the project with POD Volunteer. The Kreston Reeves Foundation has confirmed that they will match our funding up to the value of £10,000... this money will support the charity organisation called 'OneChild Ghana' whose goals are to improve the quality of education in Ghana.

Supporting myself and my colleagues with this life changing experience, would mean the world to me. So I thank you all in advance for any donation big or small you can spare!
